Stay-All-Day Makeup

Hi guys!

The rains have started again here in the Northwest U.S.
Spring is acting like a car that won’t quite start. Revs and stalls, revs a little more then stalls. The car that is spring hasn’t quite started.

Today I have a question for you guys. What makeup do you wear that can last ALL DAY? With the rain and a series of long days, I have recently found the perfect combination of products that I can rely on to last.

To give you guys an idea what these products live through daily, it goes a little like this. I get up around 6am and have my face on by 6:30. I go to class, run errands, go to the gym, and constantly touch my face and rub my eyes (its a terrible habit but with hay-fever allergies I can’t help myself sometimes). By the time I get home it can be anywhere between 6-9pm depending on the day.

Here are the products that I have come to rely on to stay in place all day, through any crazy situation, torrential rains, and gym time!

Face
Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation
I have raved about this foundation in several different posts now. It is the most hard-core foundation I have ever used! Literally won’t come off, even if I’m sweating like a pig. Once I started using this foundation, I also noticed that I need way less concealer too. It gives me enough coverage that I only need concealer for under my eyes and if I have a big blemish. Most of the time I can pretty much skip concealer.

Revlon Colorstay Concealer
Given what I just said about concealer, when I need it this is what I use. I use it to over really nasty blemishes and pimples. It covers redness, doesn’t cling to dry patches, and blends out really nicely.

Rimmel Stay Matte Powder
This is the powder that I use to set both foundation and concealer. It’s not a super glamourous product but it really works well for me. It adds just a hint of additional color but the real sticking point with me is that it keeps me matte all day. This powder working with the Estee Lauder foundation makes it so I don’t have to use blotting sheets. Also its drugstore price can’t be beat.

Eyes
Urban Decay Primer Potion
If you haven’t tried this stuff, run out to Sephora and pick up their travel size to test it out. I rely on this primer to keep my eyeshadow looking fresh, bright, and un-creased all day. I swear by this stuff and recommend it to all my friends! It proved itself to me one night when I slept in my makeup (bad, I know) and in the morning my eye makeup hadn’t budged. Miracle product in my book.

Neutrogena Crease Proof Eye Shadow
I discovered this product last month and featured it in my April Beauty Haul post. My best friend recommended it to me and I have been liking it for its long lastingness. It has a primer built in so it skips a step for you. I have this in the color 10 Stay Golden and have been using it to brighten and open up my eyes. It can be built up, colorwise, or kept pretty thin and opaque if you work fast blending with a finger or brush. It sets pretty fast so you need to be speedy when working with this stuff.

Maybelline The Rocket Volum’ Express Waterproof Mascara
This has been a foolproof product of mine for a while now. I heard about it from Leigh Ann (of Leighannsays on Youtube). The waterproof formula keeps my lashes curled all day and hasn’t flaked on my yet! (Along with all the benefits of waterproofness in the rain, of course!)

Lips
Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balmstain
These are some of my favorite lipstick/stain products. I gush at length in my Lipstick Lovin’ post about these if you want to hear more about how amazing they are. They start glossy and moisturizing and end as a bright stain. I have tried the original line as well as the matte colors and all of them have lasted me through meals without ending up looking like lipliner. Enough said.

What are your stay-all-day products? Are there any that I need to try?
Let me know!
