Hi guys!
I’m back today with my Nighttime skincare routine. This features a couple of the products I mentioned in my April Beauty Haul post that I have been using recently. I have oily-combination skin with a couple dry patches and wear heavy-duty-stay-all-day makeup. This is what I do to take it all off and take care of my skin!
Check it out!
I use three products to get all my makeup off. I start with Garnier Nourishing Cleansing Oil. I have tried several oil cleansers and find that they work much better at removing all my makeup. This, I believe, is the only drugstore oil cleanser on market at the moment and works pretty well.
I also use Cetaphil Daily Cleanser for Normal to Oil Skin afterwards to remove any residue that can get left behind (although sometimes it is nice as some extra moisturizer for really dry skin).
I finish off cleansing my skin with an toner. Right now I am using Olay Oil Minimizing Toner. It does a great job taking off any last traces of makeup and refreshing my skin.
Once a week, I like to give myself a little spa day. After my two cleansers, I use a scrub. I have been using Garnier Blackhead Eliminating Scrub which makes my skin look polished and super smooth.
After wards, I use Queen Helene’s Mint Julep Masque which is said to be a dupe of the GlamGlow masque. I let the masque do its thing and then rinse it off with warm and follow it up with the Olay Toner.
I use this spot treatment from my Dermatologist on any spots that might be popping up. You can use any acne spot treatment you like if you suffer from acne spots like I do. Just be careful that the topical cream/gel you pick isn’t too strong and end up damaging your skin. That has happened to me before and it’s not fun
The last step in my Nighttime Skincare routine is to moisturize. This is one of my favorite steps for some reason. First I use Neutrogena Healthy Skin Eye Cream around my eyes. I only use about a pea sized amount and rub it in on the boney area around my eye (never on the lid).
I use two different face and neck moisturizers in rotation. For a normal night I like to use CeraVe PM lotion. Randomly throughout the week I will use the Pond’s Rejuveness Anti-Wrinkle Cream. It is a little thicker and creamier so I use it for added moisture and to keep ahead of the wrinkle curve.
I also forgot to add a picture but I use either BioOil or Palmers Cocoa Butter on my scar right before bed to help with healing and fading.
And that’s it!
That is everything that I do for my Nighttime Skincare routine!
