April Beauty Haul (and Mini Reviews)

Hi guys!

I’m back on track today with a look at all the beauty products I picked up throughout the month of April. We’ve got some skin products but mainly makeup-y things.
Take a peek!

 The loot from April

Starting out in no special order…
L’Oreal True Match Foundation in W4 Natural Beige
I was looking for a lighter foundation for the summer and opted to try out this one. I’ve heard great reviews as so far I like it. They have an amazing color selection and I LOVE that they designate the the colors depending if your skin has a cool, neutral, or warm undertone! I have warm skin tone and it can be a nightmare finding foundation that isn’t pinkish. Another BIG thing that I loved, they had testers in the drugstore! That makes it so much easier to find your perfect match.
Anistasia Brow Wiz in Brunette
I only recently started getting into doing my brows and this was the product I was pointed towards. This pencil makes it super easy to fill in sparse areas on my brows. I especially like that it has a spoolie brush on the end. Two-in-one.
Neutrogena Crease Proof Eye Shadow in Stay Golden
This was recommended to me by one of my best friends. It is a shadow with a primer built in. This stuff doesn’t budge. I was really impressed the first time I swatched it and it wouldn’t come off. I rubbed it, washed my hands multiple times, and ended up just having makeup on my hand for part of the day. I really like this color as a base for a golden look or just to open up my eyes some. It can last through long days and workouts! I am seriously tempted to go pick up the other colors…
Maybelline Master Hi-Light by Facestudio in 30 Coral
I’ve been hearing everybody raving about this new line of brush/highlighters for the past couple months and thought to give it a try. It is a true coral blush and very flattering to my skin tone. I’m interested to see if the highlighting part of the blush is only the surface layer or if it goes all the way through the pan of product.
Jordana 12 Hr Made to Last Eyeliner Pencil in Espresso Last
This is my go-to eyeliner for my tight line. Lately I have started experimenting with brown liner and mascara with pretty good results. I wanted a better brown than what I had been working with and this is what I jumped for. I also have this pencil in charcoal and it lasts all day and never smudges or transfers on me. I would compare it to the Rimmel Scandaleyes Eyeliner.
Wet N’ Wild Megashield Lip Color in Within These Adobe Walls
This was an impulse buy that I grabbed at the last moment. It is a pretty simple coral lipstick with SPF 17. It goes on really smoothly and feels moisturizing on the lips. It also has a semi matte finish which I like.
Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser
I am probably the last person to try this product. I have never been a huge fan of primers as they tend to only make my skin oilier but I have high hopes for this stuff. I have seen in reviews that it is being compared to the Benefit Porefessional primer which I am holding out on trying for the moment. So far this Maybelline primer hasn’t been bad but I’m still deciding how I feel about it.
Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque
I found out about this face masque by searching for a dupe to the GlamGlow blackhead mask. (I’m sorry but there is no way that I am spending $70 for a tiny pot of product.) This masque claims to shrink pores, eliminate blackheads, and smooth out skin. So far I have liked it. I have noticed some pore shrinkage especially when used with the next product. But be warned, this does have mint in it and the smell gets quite strong when using a lot of product. It also causes a tingly feeling while the masque is wet. I kind of like the feeling but I know many people would find it quite uncomfortable.

Garnier Blackhead Eliminating Scrub with Charcoal
This scrub, together with the masque, have done wonders to the quality of my skin. I still have breakouts but they are easier to control and go away more quickly. This scrub gives a polished look to my skin which I have never before experienced with a scrub. I can instantly feel a difference after using this product, from rough, bumpy blackheads to nice and smooth. I only use a tiny amount twice a week (of both this and the masque) as it is pretty powerful and could easily be too much for my skin.

Pheew! That seemed like a lot. Thanks for sticking around!
haha!
