Nude Romance Makeup Look and Mini Review

Hi guys!

Remember that Maybelline palette I got about a month ago? I realized that I never showed you guys a look using those colors, oops. So guess what we have today…

a Maybelline makeup look using the palette in Nude Romance

If you want to see swatches from the palette, check out this post from last month.

I ended up not loving this palette as much as I thought I would. This is because I generally need to use additional shadows from other palettes. I really thought that I would like how the colors play out together better but they are nothing to write home about. I end up using the individual shadows with other colors from my Naked palette or other palettes.

Anyways, onto the look!

Here are all the products I used on my FACE:
1) Estee Lauder Double Wear in W2W Rattan 82
I put this foundation on all over my face using a Real Techniques Foundation brush.

2) L’Oreal Visible Lift CC concealer in Light/Medium
This rolls just underneath the eyes and I blended it out with my finger.

3) Rimmel Stay Matte powder in Transparent
I powder this only on the T-zone with a big fluffy brush.

4) Physicians Formula Bronze Booster in Light/Medium
I like to use this for a simple and soft contour. It also adds warmth to the face and neck.

5) Estee Lauder Blush in Nude Rose
My everyday blush goes just on the apples of the cheeks.

Face all done as normal. Much better face after that no makeup shot right above it.

Onto EYES:

1) Jordana 12 HR Made to Last Eyeshadow Pencil in 04 Continuous Almond
I like to use this as a base to light shadows as it acts as a primer and covers all my veins really well. I blend it out all over the lid with my finger and under the brows as a highlight.

2) Maybelline palette in Nude Romance
I went over the Jordana shadow with the lightest almost-matte cream color (highlight and lid). I used the next color, a orangy tan, in the crease and up onto the browbone as my transition color. Finally I used the lighter brown to deepen the crease and give some definition. With a clean fluffy brush, blend, blend, blend.

3) Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl eyeliner in 005 Nude
I use this on the bottom water line to brighten and open up the eyes.

4) Lancome Kohl eyeliner in Black
I used this liner to line the upper lash line and tight line. This was not the ideal liner for this look as it does tend to bleed down to the lower waterline after a time.

5) e.l.f. eyelash curler
You know what to do.

6) Maybelline the Rocket Volum’ Express Waterproof in Black
Swipe on that mascara and the eyes are set!

One eye done.

Have you ever really looked at yourself with only half a face of makeup? It makes me look really crazy and off balance

And all done!
Not too hard, huh?

Let me know what you think about this look!
Have you guys tried this palette or any of the other Maybelline quads? Let me know!
