In a world of editorial magazines, high fashion blogs, street style blogs, and constantly changing trends, I sometimes have to remind myself to keep it simple. Simple, clean, and classic with a pop of color is 100% my style and I always feel my best when I follow my own fashion ‘rules’. Not all trends are great ones to follow for me. Example A: peplum. Looks terrible on me.
Distressed denim is one that I’m still grappling with. I snagged these SP Black jeans with distressed knees during the Nordstrom Anniversary sale and I still haven’t decided if I love them or not. Distressed denim is all over right now and I predict that it will be sticking around for fall so I’d love to be in with the trend but I’m not sure how I feel about holes in my pants. It seems counter intuitive. If you follow me on Twitter you’ll already know this story but the first time that I tried these pants on, I put my foot right through the hole!
