Office to Party Dress

With the holidays creeping up just around the corner (it’s almost November!) it’s time to dust off those holiday party dresses. The problem that I have with most party looks is that I only get to wear them a couple times as they don’t translate well from day to night. So today I’ve devoted a post solely to versatile budget friendly wear-more-than-once party dresses.

As much as I wish I was super glamourous and could wear a new outfit to every party, that is simply not my reality. I tend to rush from work directly to events come the holiday season so I want an outfit that can easily make the switch from one to the other. With the three dresses above, I think that 1) they can be easily adopted to fit the work place by adding a blazer or changing the jewelry, 2) they all play well with the selection of accessories and easily can be mixed or matched, and 3) everything listed is under $100! By picking up just a couple items that can be mixed and matched you have wallet friendly options for various holiday (or any time of the year) parties PLUS some new dresses for the office.

The key? I say stick to neutral colors and have one item that really pops. For example, all the dresses are solid color so the shoes and accessories are easily interchangeable between the three. With a sassy (faux) leather shift dress, add leopard print pumps for a fun youthful look. Or pair the red pumps with the shift dress, tights, and different baubles for an entirely different look. The options are plentiful!
