Around here in Seattle it is spring break season, which means many of you are jetting off to tropical destinations. While the actual vacation is always fun, packing can be the stressful part. Here are five things that you should make sure you pack no matter what or where you’re headed.
A Cute Suit – A cute and confidence boosting swimsuit is also a must for any tropical vacation. Finding that perfect swimsuit however can be a challenge. Here are five different ways to identify which suit is best for you! I’m seriously crushing on this suit and this suit but I’ve listed a ton of other options on my Pinterest
A Great Tan – Why start your vacation with winter white skin then bake for hours in the sun only to end up lobster red? Why not start off with a perfect glow that only took minutes? A fake tan can also be a great tan minus all that pesky skin damage. Follow the steps I’ve outlined here for perfect sunless tan that will last you all week long. Apply you favorite high SPF sunscreen on top for skin safe fun in the sun!
Sunnies and Wide Brims – More sun protection in the form of cute accessories are also a must have for any spring break getaway. Oversized sun glasses like these ones and these ones here are a great way to look stylin’ while still protecting your eyes from UV rays. A wide brim floppy hat or straw boater hat are also wonderful multipurpose accessories that will keep you looking cool and protected from the sun.
Sturdy Sandals – While I’m not opposed to a vacay that is predominantly spent lounging poolside, I also love to do a little exploring which is why I like packing both flip-flops and something a little sturdier. Whether you’re taking a hike or exploring a local town, you’ll want shoes that go the distance. I love these sandals that securely strap onto your feet but these sandals are also extremely popular and known for comfort
Carry All – You’re obviously going to need a new carry all tote for all your poolside necessities that can also double as a stylish carry on. There are two routes most people take for a great bag: beachy or dressy. Neither is better than the other but both have pros and cons. Beachy bags tend to be straw based and allow for sand to slip out the bottom with ease (Target currently has a great selection). Dressy tote bags are generally leather based and more of a carry all than pool side bag. However they translate better to everyday life if you don’t want to invest in a second bag.
What are you packing for your spring getaway? Going/went anywhere fun? Let me know in the comments!

Thanks for reading Tianna!
I’m a huge advocate for wearing hats at the beach! Not only do they help keep the sun out of your eyes, but they help protect your scalp!

I’m with you on wearing hats! I’ve had my scalp sunburned one too many times that leaves me not able to brush my hair. Thanks for reading!
