Christmas is this week and the holiday parties are kicking into overdrive. But as the parties are heating up, the temperatures are dropping. What to do style wise, right?! Well I shared a couple outfit ideas for you #ClassicStyleGirls wanting to rock those skirts and dresses all winter long last week but what if you just need something covering your legs? (#reallifestyle)
Girl, I’ve got you covered! Yes, you can still look holiday glam without wearing a dress. While there are tons of ways to style a killer holiday look without a dress or skirt, here are four of my favorites!
WIDE LEG TROUSERS
For a super chic look that will take you from office girlboss to holiday happy hour no problem, try wide legged pants. This is an especially chic and modern look if you go head to toe winter white. The crisp lines of the pants also have a great slimming effect because of this style diet trick, so what’s not to love about looking slimmer (especially this time of year) and staying a little warmer.
LEATHER LEGGINGS
Leather leggings are the answer if you want to still look trendy and stylish without showing a lot of leg. Plus, it’s easy to add a base layer (or two) of fleece lined leggings for extra warmth, something I’ve done both here and here when the temps were in the single digits last NYFW.
They have become easier and easier to style as well. From more casual get togethers, you can easily wear your leggings with a oversized sweater and some statement jewelry for an easy party look. Or you can go full on vixen with sleek leggings and a lace top, blazer optional, for a full glamazon look.
FAUX FUR VEST
Adding a faux fur vest on top of dark denim is a totally acceptable and completely stylish way to stay both warm and holiday glam at the same time. It’s a fun accessory to play around with. Pair it with flare denim, leather leggings, or plain ol’ distressed blue jeans and the one vest can give you so many different looks!
PATTERNED PANTS
Patterned or colorful pants are a fun way to spice up your holiday style without freezing your you-know-what off at the same time. These were popular several years ago but I have been seeing them more and more in magazines and in stores this holiday season. Just remember to pair a patterned bottom with a solid colored top and you’ll be ready in no time! Bonus style points, these pants also do heavy lifting during the work week
