1 Skirt, 3 Ways: J.Crew Mini Skirt

1 skirt, 3 ways - j.crew mini skirt - pink mini skirt - houndstooth skirt

Hey babes! I’ve talked before about how we rarely see people re-wearing outfits when we boot up Instagram or check our favorite blogs. Real life, however, is a different story. We re-wear our favorite items over and over A) because we love them and B) because most of us can’t afford a new wardrobe every season.

I did this post about an 1 Skirt, 4 Ways for my favorite eyelet skirt and you all seemed to like it so I thought I’d do another with this pink houndstooth mini skirt. It’s a summer time favorite and I’ve been finding plenty of ways to rock it this summer (several even went unphotographed because ya know life>instagram)

Don’t have this exact skirt? No problem! While it is still available in a couple sizes (and on sale!), you can recreate these looks with any number of your favorite mini (or if you’re me mini-ish) skirts.
Just keep reading to see how to wear this J.Crew mini skirt three ways!

WITH CHAMBRAY

If you’ve been a regular reader here, you know my love for the chambray button up! It’s so versatile, it becomes a no brainer and I wear it with nearly everything.

WITH A PLAIN WHITE TEE

With the pattern on the skirt, you can easily get away with less is more on top. A plain white tee doesn’t have to be so plain with a little detail on the sleeves (or a lot of detail if you’re into the statement sleeves that are trending right now)

WITH A NEUTRAL SWEATER

Get some preppy vibes and prep for fall by pairing your mini with a neutral colored sweater. This turtleneck got me through the fall and winter but I was also able to wear it in the spring with shorter hem lines and loafers.

YOU CAN ALSO TRY…

You could also try wearing this skirt with a:
– graphic tee
– sleeveless button up
– more pink!  (you know I’ve done monochrome pink head to toe! #noshame)

What items do you wear on repeat the most right now?
What do you think about this becoming a series? Let me know in the comments!

Until next time,
Ana Luiza

Thanks so much Kendal! I’m glad you liked this post. It’s important to me that real life and what I share here on NWBlonde are in sync and part of that means re-wearing clothes on the blog how I do in real life
