I’ve recently come to realize that most of my favorite fall fashion staples all come from one place: J.Crew. I think we all feel the pull that as the weather cools and allows/requires layers, an overwhelming urge for preppy style comes with it.
Today I wasn’t intentionally dressing in head to toe J.Crew (and their affiliate brands), it just sort of happened.
Because I wear these pieces on a constant cycle all autumn and winter long, I wanted to highlight them for you if you’re interested in growing your cold-weather wardrobe.
TISSUE TURTLENECK
These turtlenecks are my hands down favorite for layering. Sure if you want a big bulky knit, go for it, but these are perfect for wearing under a dress, under a thin sweater, or alone without getting too warm. Especially these days when the weather can be unpredictable, a little (thin) layer can go a long way in keeping you warm. It also doesn’t hurt that these come in every color under the sun.
MADEWELL ANKLE BOOTS
Madewell is a sub-brand that is owned and operated by J.Crew so I’m going to include them here. Also because they have some of the best ankle boots I’ve ever worn. Not only are they comfortable once you break them in but they just last and last and last, which isn’t something I can say about my other ankle boots.
WOOL BLEND SKIRTS
Since it’s cold, you should stop wearing skirts and just wear pants for the next six months, right? Wrong! I still love wearing dresses and skirts in the winter but with some modifications like adding tights or choosing wool blend options. J.Crew always has a bunch of stylish and warm options for skirts that will get you through the winter months. This one was from last year but they’ve brought it back in their Factory store for this year.
Until next time,
Ana Luiza
